T.I.
T.I. is a southern rapper. He was born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. on September 25, 1980 in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2001, he released his debut album “I'm Serious” which was unsuccessful and he was dropped by Arista Records. Undaunted, he formed Grand Hustle Records and created an underground buzz. He resurfaced in 2003 on Bonecrusher's song "Neva Scared". He then released, “Trap Muzik,” which was more of a success. However, T.I. was charged with violating his probation over a 2003 drug charge and he was sentenced to three years in prison but later received an early release in 2004. In 2004, T. I. released “Urban Legend,” which debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200. In 2005 he launched his own film production company called Grand Hustle Films, signed a multi-artist joint venture deal for his label with Atlantic Records, and established a music publishing deal for Grand Hustle Music with Warner Chappell. In 2006, he released the album, “King” which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart selling over 520,000 copies in its first week. He also produced the soundtrack to the film Hustle & Flow and released the collection through Grand Hustle/Atlantic. He also starred in the film "ATL" in 2006. That same year, T.I.'s crew was caught up in a shooting after a show that left three injured and Philant Johnson -- T.I.'s longtime friend and personal assistant -- dead. In 2007, he will release a sequel to his ATL movie and his next studio album, “T.I. vs. T.I.P.,” will follow
